Air raid sirens have been activated nationwide, including in Kyiv city, as of the evening hours (local time) on July 1.
Earlier today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia was preparing a major aerial attack and stated that strikes could begin as early as July 2. He urged residents to remain vigilant and immediately respond to air raid alerts.
No explosions or confirmed missile or drone impacts have been reported as of the time of writing.

Those continuing to operate or reside in Ukraine on July 1 are advised to shelter in place due to the threat of airstrikes.
If a designated shelter exists, immediately go there. If not, go to a room with as few external walls, windows, and openings as possible, close all openings, and sit on the floor below the window line and near an internal wall.
In an open area, lay down on the ground and cover your head with your hands.
When driving, safely pull over and follow the above instructions.
Remain in position for at least ten minutes or until the sirens have stopped unless instructed otherwise, and stay away from any unidentified objects.
