Turkey Tactical: Dardanelles Strait closed due to fog during morning hours on February 26; allot for disruptions

Current Situation:

  • According to Turkish state media, the Dardanelles Strait has been closed to maritime traffic in both directions due to fog during the morning hours (local time) of February 26.  
  • Per the statement, traffic is slated to resume when the fog clears.

  1. Those operating vessels through the Dardanelles Strait during the morning hours of February 26 are advised to allot for disruptions to business continuity, including delivery delays, due to the closure of the strait in both directions.
