Assessments & Forecast:

The anticipated turnout for the scheduled protests is expected to range from low-to-mid dozens, based on precedent in previous protests. As part of standard security protocol, the authorities will implement heightened security measures in the vicinity of the aforementioned locations, including the erection of barricades and the deployment of additional police personnel, given the October 14 protest site’s proximity to the Israeli Embassy. Based on past events, the protest is expected to proceed peacefully. However, localized disruptions to pedestrian and vehicular traffic are anticipated in the area during the protest hours on October 14 and 18, due to the expected turnout and associated security measures.

Recommendations:

Those operating or residing in Seoul on October 14 and 18 are advised to allot for minor disruptions in the vicinity of the aforementioned areas due to the slated protest gatherings.
