MENA Tactical (UPDATE): Additional anti-Israeli protests slated across region for al-Quds day on March 28; maintain heightened vigilance
Current Situation:
- Several anti-Israeli protests have been scheduled across the Middle East & North Africa to mark al-Quds Day, officially known as International Quds Day, which falls on March 28 this year, to show solidarity with the Palestinians.
- In Bahrain, the “Bahraini Society for Resisting Normalization with Israel” has scheduled a protest in front of the organization’s headquarters in Manama’s Adliya at 15:45 (local time).
- In Morocco, the “Moroccan Coordination of Doctors for Palestine” has called for a protest in front of Marrakech’s Koutoubia Mosque at 21:30.
- In Syria, a protest is slated to be held at Damascus’s Umayyad Square at 15:00. Activists will also denounce Israeli airstrikes in Syria in recent weeks.
- In Turkey, the “Resistance Tent” activist group is scheduled to hold a protest march from Istanbul’s Fatih Mosque to Sarachane Park. The march will commence following Friday prayers, which are scheduled to take place at around 13:16.
