Israel Tactical: Authorities on December 14 warns of increased passenger traffic at Ben Gurion International Airport during Hanukkah holidays; allot for disruptions

Current Situation:

  • The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) has announced that passenger traffic at Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) is expected to increase during the ongoing Hanukkah holiday. 
  • It stated that with the start of the Hanukkah vacation, a sharp increase in passenger volumes is already being observed at TLV, with peak passenger traffic anticipated on December 18, 21, and 22, when approximately 65,000 passengers are expected to transit through the airport each day. 
  • Overall, the IAA projects that around 508,000 passengers will travel through TLV on international flights during the Hanukkah holiday period.
