India Tactical: Traffic diversion announced in Delhi due to separate events until 23:00 (local time) on February 28; allot for disruptions
Current Situation:
- A traffic advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police (DTP) remains in effect due to a convocation event at Delhi University until 16:00 (local time) on February 28.
- Per DTP, traffic arrangements will be implemented across multiple roads, including Chhatra Marg, University Marg, Sudhir Bose Marg, and Guru Teg Bahadur Marg, on the day.
- Further, DTP reports of potential ad-hoc restrictions on a need basis in the vicinity of multiple locations, including Kranti Chowk, Patel Crest, Mall Road, Hindu College, and St. Stephens College, until the conclusion of the event on February 28.

- Separately, the DTP issued another traffic advisory due to a live concert event at Jawahar Lal Nehru (JLN) Stadium from 16:00 to 23:00 on February 28.
- Likewise, traffic diversions will be implemented for all motorists from Bhishma Pitamah (BP) Marg who will be redirected towards Meharchand Market at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Red Light.
- Similarly, motorists approaching from INA and Thyagraj Stadium will face restrictions at the JLN Stadium service road and will be redirected to continue straight on Barapullah Road to reach Lala Lajpat Rai Marg.
- All heavy vehicles will be prohibited along the stretch from JLN Stadium Red Light to BP Marg and Lodhi Road, including the surrounding areas of JLN Stadium on the day.
- DTP further announced that all emergency vehicles are exempt and will be granted unrestricted access. However, emergency vehicles are advised to avoid BP Marg and Lodhi Road to prevent potential inconvenience.
- DTP also advises commuters traveling to railway stations, the airport, hospitals, and other essential destinations to plan their journeys in advance and use alternate routes to avoid delays.
