- The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported on July 14 that a tanker was struck by a missile while transiting outbound on the southern route on July 13, approximately 13 nautical miles (24 km) southeast of Oman’s Limah on the Musandam Peninsula close to the Strait of Hormuz.
- Authorities are investigating the incident. No information regarding casualties, damage, or environmental impact has been released at the time of writing.
- Vessels transiting the area have been advised to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.
