Reports indicate that activists associated with “Queermany Berlin” and other far-left groups are slated to hold a protest march from Willy-Brandt-Haus to the Federal Office of the Christlich Demokratische Union Deutschlands (CDU) party, located at Konrad-Adenauer-Haus in Berlin at 15:00 (local time) on February 9.
The protest march is being held to denounce the Act on Assistance to Violence passed in the Bundestag in January 2025, due to its alleged discrimination against and lack of inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community under the measures proposed in the act. Organizers are also protesting the CDU over its alleged support of the far-right Alternative fur Deutschland (AfD) party.
