• The Salalah International Airport announced that it will hold a comprehensive emergency drill at the site from August 3-17, using live fire, for firefighting personnel. 
• During the drill, smoke and fire may be witnessed from the fire training area at the old airport.  
• An emergency team will be stationed at the fire station to ensure an immediate response to a real fire. 
• No flight disruptions are expected to materialize as a result of the ongoing drill, with operations functioning as scheduled on August 3.

Those traveling through or operating near the Salalah International Airport on August 3-17 are advised to remain cognizant of the firefighting drill and adhere to any instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
