Iraq Alert (UPDATE): UAV strikes reported in Erbil, Duhok Governorates during morning hours of July 17; avoid all travel

- The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Directorate General of Counter Terrorism reported that at 10:50 (local time) on July 17, a weapons-laden UAV crashed near the village of Surezhai in Shamamki district in Erbil Governorate.
- At 10:55, a weapons-laden drone targeted the DNO oil field in Tawke, located in the Zakho area of Duhok Governorate.
- No official information regarding casualties or damages has been released as of the time of writing.
- DNO temporarily suspended their operations at the field on July 16 following earlier attacks.
