• The Candlelight Action group called for a protest at the Cheonho-dong Rodeo Street Entrance opposite the Cheonho Station in Seoul at 19:00 (local time) on July 10.  
• The demonstration will condemn former President Yoon Suk Yeol and former First Lady Kim Keon Hee over alleged corruption and abuse of power during the brief imposition of martial law in December 2024.  

1. The participation at the slated protest is expected to range between the mid-to-high dozens, based on estimates from past protests, and given the ongoing insurrection trial against former President Yoon. The authorities are liable to elevate security measures in the vicinity of the abovementioned protest site as part of standard security protocols. This will likely include the deployment of police personnel and the placement of barricades to monitor the crowd. 
2. There remains a latent risk of clashes between protesters and the police in case the former group is perceived to be engaging in disruptive behavior such as breaching security. The authorities will likely deploy crowd control measures, including temporary detentions, in such instances of unrest. Localized travel disruptions to pedestrian and vehicular traffic are anticipated in the vicinity of the Cheonho-dong Rodeo Street during the protest hours on July 10.
