MENA Tactical: Airlines resume flight operations to region, per June 26 reports; remain cognizant of authorities’ updates
Current Situation:
- Egypt Air has announced the resumption of its services following the phased reopening of airspace in several Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries. The airline stated that it is continuously updating flight schedules to adapt to changing regional conditions.
- Oman’s flag carrier, Oman Air announced the resumption of its operations as per normal schedule from June 24.
- On June 25, Lebanon-based Middle East Airlines (MEA) resumed flights to and from Baghdad, Najaf, and Erbil in Iraq.
- Turkish Airlines also resumed service to Baghdad and Erbil starting June 25.
- Air Arabia, based in UAE’s Sharjah, announced the gradual resumption of flights to previously suspended destinations beginning June 25.
- Dubai-based Flydubai is reportedly set to become the first foreign airline to resume operations to Israel as of June 25.
