Turkey & Iran Alert: Turkish air defense intercepts Iranian ballistic missile during afternoon hours on March 4; avoid all travel to area
Current Situation:
- Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense stated that NATO air and missile defense systems deployed in the eastern Mediterranean intercepted one ballistic missile launched from Iran during the afternoon hours (local time) on March 4.
- Authorities claim that the ballistic missile crossed Iraqi and Syrian airspace before entering the Turkish airspace.
- Authorities also stated that an interceptor munition from Turkish air defense systems fell in Hatay province’s Dortyol district.
- No casualties were recorded in the incident.

Recommendations:
