Malaysia Tactical: Traffic advisory issued due to Thaipusam celebration in Kuala Lumpur from January 30-February 3; allot for disruptions
Current Situation:
- The Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police (KLPT) issued a traffic advisory due to the Thaipusam celebration from 21:00 (local time) on January 30 to February 3.
- Per the advisory, road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented from the Sri Maha Mariamman Dhevasthanam Temple on Jalan Tun Henry Lee Hau Shik and will extend toward the Sri Subramaniar Swamy Temple in Batu Caves, Selangor.
- KLTP further stated that the affected intersections include Jalan Leboh Ampang and Jalan Perak, Jalan Tun Perak and Jalan Pudu, Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock and Jalan Sultan, Jalan Sultan and Jalan Hang Jebat, Jalan Sultan and Jalan Petaling, and Jalan Sultan and Jalan Panggung.
- Additionally, road closures and traffic diversions are announced across intersections at Jalan Sultan and Jalan Tun Henry Lee Hau Shik, Jalan Hang Kasturi and Jalan Sultan Mohamed, Jalan Munshi Abdullah and Jalan Dang Wangi, Jalan Dang Wangi and Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Raja Laut and Jalan Dang Wangi, as well as Jalan Raja Laut and Jalan Sultan Ismail.
