India Tactical: Traffic advisories issued in Delhi, Hyderabad for official event, visit on November 21, 22; allot for disruptions

Current Situation:

  • The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory for the ongoing general meeting at the Chief Minister’s Residence on Raj Niwas Marg until 12:00 (local time) on November 21. 
  • Per the advisory, traffic movement is expected to remain slow on Shamnath Marg, Rajpur Road, Rajniwas Marg, and Chauburja Marg until 12:00 on November 21. 
  • Vehicles approaching the area could be diverted from key points, including Shamnath Marg Red Light towards Indraprastha (IP) College Red Light, Municipal Corporation of Delhi Chowk towards Tis Hazari Courts Complex, Khoya Mandi U-turn towards Outer Ring Road, and Civil Lines Red Light towards IP College Red Light, during the period.

  • The Hyderabad Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory for the scheduled visit of the President to the city on November 21–22. 
  • Per the advisory, traffic movements will be diverted in Secunderabad, Trimulgherry, Begumpet, Panjagutta, and adjoining areas due to VVIP movements towards Rashtrapati Nilayam and Raj Bhavan on November 21-22. 
  • Intermittent restrictions will be imposed at major junctions including Chief Traffic Office (CTO), Rasoolpura, Paradise North Tank Junction (PNT) Junction, Hyderabad Public School (HPS), Begumpet Flyover, Greenlands, Panjagutta Junction, Monappa Junction, Yashoda Hospital, Katriya Hotel, Raj Bhavan, Vallabhbhai Patel (VV) Statue, Metro Residency, as well as areas in Trimulgherry, Alwal, Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre, Bison Signal, Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Lal Bazar, Karkhana, and adjoining stretches until 18:45 on November 21. 
  • Similar restrictions will be implemented at Raj Bhavan, VV Statue, Metro Residency, Monappa Junction, Panjagutta Junction, Greenlands, Begumpet Flyover, HPS, PNT Junction, Rasoolpura, and CTO between 08:30–09:30 on November 22.
